Summa: progress update

This is the plan I proposed myself for Summa1. So far I have been able to stick to it and I’m very happy about that. I’m currently on day 5 and I think I’ll be able to have the first version of the app ready on day 7.

Day 1 - Calculator engine

  • Unit conversion
  • Basic math
  • Interest rates

Day 2 - UI v0

  • Minimal UI for iOS
  • In-memory persistence for past calculations
  • Session handling

Day 3 - Persistence

  • Setting up persistence

Day 4 - UI Improvements

  • General UI improvements
  • Toolbar on top of keyboard
  • Delete session

Day 5 - PRO Features

  • Users can send queries that don’t yield a result
  • Gate PRO features

Day 6 - Marketing materials

  • Icon
  • App store screenshots

Day 7 - Final touches

  • General QoL improvements
  • App submission

Footnotes

  1. Summa is a new calculator app that works with natural language in a deterministic way. ↩
